I have to go around finding prices for my winter camp material checklist. I looked all over Home Plus and Daiso and found most things. Can someone help me with these?...

Googly eyes are a bit more difficult to find. The only places I have been able to find them are in the actual craft/school supply stores. Try Modern Art downtown (let me know if you don't know where that is)...or there are some really great craft supply stores behind the bus terminal that have googly eyes...and they would probably have cotton balls.
Oh and Home Plus has powdered sugar. It is in the baking section but it is in really small packets that are hanging up (so a bit deceiving) but it's there!

Hunger Games is good, since it can be read on more than one level, the movie follows the book close enough that you can show it, and the kids love the idea of killing each other.
What is the best beach or near water to camp in SKorea?
Nick Z. replied:
Hyeojae/Geumneung Beaches on the west coast of Jeju Island.
Dani M. replied:
Gyeongpo Beach in Gangneung is a nice bet for Seoulites. Great pensions and a beautiful beach. We went over Chuseok and it was all but deserted. Perfect!
So, I'm finishing up a prototype brigandine, and now looking for materials to put together a fully functional one... anyone know a good place to pick up high-carbon or...

Most bases have a DRMO scrap yard hidden someplace. Often they get old lockers and other fixtures made of steel or aluminum. If your SCA group is registered as a non-profit on base then what ever they have that you can use is essentially free for the taking. I do not know what the Korean equivalent of the Japanese "Home Wide" store is, but surely there are building supply houses/lumber yards there. The plates used to tie studs/frames together make good plates for Brigandine style armor even though they tend to have extra holes in them, but hidden under cloth or leather - those are no problem - just lighter weight.
