Mary G. replied:
Miscarriage is more common than society wants to admit. Definitely get a primary care doc so they can manage everything, but ask for a referral (if your insurance will cover) a behavioral health professional to assist you. Dr. Moore/Payne's office has wonderful nurse practitioners as well. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago (my 2 nd) and Dr. Moore and nurses helped me a lot. I also saw behavioral health. My heartfelt condolences to you. I pray you heal emotionally and physically. (I had 1 baby between the two, even after PCOS diagnosis. So there is hope).

Our pastor at Sevierville Christian Center on Ernest McMahan Road is preaching a series on Spiritual Warfare that I think would be helpful. Satan loves to destroy marriages & homes. Pastor has also been ministering on hurts and disappointments in life. You are welcome to come. Sunday morning service is at 10:45.

Going to an OB GYN would be of more benefit to you than using a family physcian for this issue. They are use to dealing with these issues & if they can't help you they will know who to send you to for counseling. If you don't already have an OB GYN, I have used Dr Brook Foulk who comes to Seymour one day a week, but she has an office downtown near Fort Sanders also. I was having some emotional concerns and found her very down to earth and easy to talk with & this was during my first visit. After leaving there I felt so much better about my self. She showed compassion & took time with me. Keep in mind that your hormones are a bit out of wack right now & that can cause some of your depression. You will get through this. Sweety your husband may very well need to go to counseling with you. You both have been through something very tough. Btw if she can't get you in fast enough I would ask the girls who she sends her patients to for counseling.
Brianna C. replied:
I'm not sure how far you're willing to travel. But, I have PTSD from childhood events and I go to a therapist named Deborah Rowlands at Alternative Counseling Centers in Fountain City. I know they take and are approved by many different insurances and Deborah is fantastic. I can't say if she's taking new patients, but there's two buildings full of people you can see. I highly recommend them.

As many have told you, you are not alone. I lost 2. Through the help of prayer and friendships and most importantly, the hand of God, I was able to find out that I had extremely low progesterone levels. I was told about Dr Leonard Brabson and he immediately helped me through and I was able to have 2 healthy children. He took the time to find the problem and his staff gave me amazing support. It is hard to lose a child that you so much want. Men don't always react to it as we do. May God bless your marriage and give you strength through these tough times.
