Hi, does anybody know what I have to do/where I have to go to get into equine therapy? I'm currently in year 10, and planning to go to college next September and hoping...

Hi Alicia! It depends on what you want to be able to do or be able to provide. I am an ACPAT veterinary physiotherapist which means I have qualified to treat humans first and then fine extra training (pg dip or msc) to be able to treat animals. Go to www.acpat.org and I think they have a whole section where it tells you how to go about training and the differences between a chartered and non chartered physiotherapists. My training has taken up to 7 years to reach the stage where I could treat animals so people often opt for the easier route but I think it is so beneficial to have the skill and training behind you. Hope that helps x

Go onto the UCAS website and search equine therapy, they have both college and degree courses. Bishop Burton do an equine therapy and rehabilitation course and similar, there's all sorts on there smile emoticon heres a link http://search.ucas.com/search/providers?CountryCode=... Also if you see a uni course you like it will tell you what you need to do at college to get onto that course. hope that helps smile emoticon
