Does anyone on this site remember a Winnipeg country band from the 60's and 70's called The Coachmen? Any pics? My uncle Peter Henderson played guitar with them and I...

I played drums and bass with The Coachmen from the mid 70’s on and off for 20 years or so. The original group I believe was Bill Franks and Morgan (last name?) and I guess Pete Henderson. Maybe Yentz was playing drums with them in the 60’s too; I replaced him. Pete and Morgan were long gone by the time I appeared, though I did meet them a couple of times. Bill always spoke highly of Pete’s guitaristics. I didn’t identify them as country per se; Bill intimated that they had always specialized in American and Celtic folk, and diversified into whatever pop styles were demanded by the pubs. Depending on listening versus dance audiences, it was pretty much MOR pop or Irish Rovers by the time I joined. A couple of years ago I was gigging with Al Miller(RIP), and there was Yentz dancing with his ladyfriend. And playing guitar with us was Wally Bogen, another peripheral Coachman satellite friend you may know. Two of the sweetest good-natured guys on this planet. Bill’s been gone now for several years; I wonder if he was the last of the original Coachmen.
