Could anyone recommend a swimming instructor based in the Guildford, Godalming or Farnham area? Enjoyed some fabulous swimming in a lake in Snowdonia in the summer. ...

Charterhouse Club (based in Charterhouse School, Godalming) have a great coach who is also very experienced in long open water swims, cold water and is currently World Champion in ice water too. And has a track record of persuading poolies into the sea and lakes.

Farnham Masters is about £46 per month, plus £50 to join - bit rich for me so I try to keep self-motivated and use the Farnham Sports Centre. There is a lady, Katie, who does Swimfit sessions at Farnham Sports Centre a couple of times a week. I believe they are free - you just pay to get in.
