We always stay at the Travelodge at Bayston Hill, it's just had a refurbishment and you have Little Chef on the same site. Rooms are clean and reasonably priced. Little Chef breakfast is nice and frehly cooked.

The Hilton on the Shrewsbury Business Park has changed it's name, again, and I think it's presently called Holiday Inn Express, we stayed there a few years back when it was the Purple Inn and had no problems.

I know you said not in the town centre but I love The Lucroft in Castle Gates, and they have several parking spaces just over the road in a small car park. They are a very reasonable, family run business. It's always my first choice when I come to Shrewsbury.

Does anybody know of a b&b or hotel close to the shrewsbury show ground which will accept 2 small dogs and not cost an arm and a leg? Dont fancy camping in a tent in...
Julie C. replied:
It that at Shrewsbury show Ground? We have stayed in a nice pub about 10 mins away and dogs are welcome. They do nice pub meals reasonably priced too. I can't recall the name but the tel number i have is 01743369392 but it is a couple of years since we stayed there. May be worth a try

Try Googling Bayston Hill.
Lauren H. replied:
There's The Horseshoes@Dorrington, Travel Lodge@Bayston Hill that's possibly as close as you will get to Moorlands otherwise you would have to go into Shrewsbury town centre. Hope that helps x
