Haircut/Barber/Stylist? Can anyone recommend a decent place to get a haircut preferably downtown, campus, or South Eugene? Only a few old posts on this.
I'd pay up to...

Jeb at Les's barber shop always does a very good job for me. As such that's there I go for my haircuts. 12$ They take cash or card, nearest cash source is the ATM at Level Up right across the intersection, or cash back at the Circle K a block a way.

I'd highly recommend Brooklyn Jay at American Traditional in downtown Eugene. It's on 11 th and Willamette. I'm bald myself but he does a great job on my beard and its nice to get the hot towel treatment as well.

Campus! Why, you need to go see Pete or Jim at the Red Rooster Barbershop! Disclaimer: I've never seen a woman get their hair cut there.

I'll cut your hair. I got two lengths on my clippers. 3/16 and 1/16, you choose 8 bucks. Or if you buy me a set of Andis guards I'll do it for free and make you lunch.

I've looked high and low since moving to Eugene for a great barbershop. The two best I've found are Anderson's and American Traditional Barbershop. Anderson's doesn't look like anything fancy, but free beer and everyone I've had there knows what they're doing and uses a straight razor on the back of the neck (my litmus test). American Traditional Barbershop is more the Eugene brand of hipster (a dash of redneck mixed in), but the barbers are competent and they also use a straight razor. These are both downtown and easy to get to, though it's street parking for both.

Just had my hair cut by a bloke named Kellen at Maximum Barber Shop. Decent cut, good guy and was $7.99. They're on 13 th and Oak in that little place across the street from Level Up. http://maximusbarbershopsandsalons.com/

I really like the female at the stylist salon behind the old Hodgepodge restaurant off W 11 th just west of Garfield. The male barber, not so much. It's $11

I don't know of any good places south of the river, but my boys have been going to the super nice blonde lady that has a little unassuming down-to-earth place that is right behind Shamrock Flowers and Gifts on Coburg Road. You can't see it from the parking lot or the street, it's tucked in the back and private-feeling. There's a little hallway between like the Safeway and Shamrock's. You walk down the hallway to the end and her place is on the right. $13 for a haircut and she's really fast and good at what she does. The place is very relaxed and comfortable, no-nonsense and not hipster or pretentious at all. Large ugly comfortable chairs to sit in while you wait. She does mostly men's haircuts. I have never seen anyone but men or young men there getting their haircuts. She has been cutting my boys hair since they were very young. My youngest has very unruly hair and she is able to work magic with it. I'm editing to add: She is cash-only and I think the place is called Sheldon Plaza Barber Shop.

Thanks for the tips. There's an old post raving about a Sarah at London, but she was booked until mid August. I've tried the barber route for years but whatever city im in, its very rare to find one who is consistent with a scissor cut, only simple clipper cuts. Sigh....
