Lately we like Namu by Dolores Park, near him is Lers Ros Thai, for a pricey fine dine thing Sons & Daughters is unique. In the Mission Hi-Lo BBQ and Locanda are great. And for adventurous meat eaters, Incanto is fun.

Pizzeria Delfina in the Mission, with Bi-Rite ice cream or pastries from Tartine Bakery for dessert. Maybe Dosa, though more straightforward South Indian food can be had in the burbs.

Good Mexican restaurants? Hey all, I just moved to Simi about a week ago and now I’m looking for some good Mexican restaurants. Any recommendations?

I’m a recent Simi Valley resident coming from the SFV. I can’t find anything here compared to the Mexican Food in the valley but I found a place called Fast N Fresh off tapo and Cochran. They actually have really decent Mexican food for a super fair price. They have stuff on the menu I couldn’t find anywhere in Simi which made me happy as well and made them stand out to me as a true Mexican place. Like I said decent food (not the best Mexican) but because of the price it holds me over and leaves me satisfied until I can get back to the valley for some ghetto ass delicious Mexican food.

Ticos tacos is my go to but campos is really good too
bettie-rage replied:
No. I’ve tried so many recommended here and it’s all bland and tasteless. I pick up salsa and beer from the valley when I’m in the area, drive the 30-40 minutes home, and it’s still better than anything we’ve had out here (with larger portions for a better price). Honestly most the food out here is disappointing. My family of 3 have spent $100 s trying to find good Mexican food here I don’t think it exists. I’m actually Mexican and my standards are pretty low. It’s just bad. I will say the burger express Mexican grill is OK. Nothing amazing but better than a lot of the other restaurants.

I’ll second Burger Express. They make great Mexican breakfast dishes, and they’re great people. If you ask, they’ll customize most things however you want and charge accordingly. I will usually got for a breakfast burrito with extra cheese, egg over easy, with pastrami too. I tell them not to cut it so it travels well back home. That’s great, but they have excellent chilaquiles and other egg dishes as well.

I know it was a restaurant before...

After the Aussie place my husband and I looked into leasing the building for another restaurant but the property owners were 100 percent sure that they did not want another restaurant there. That is when it became Napa Auto Parts
