I need a computer repair person asap, my modem is not working correctly and it doesn't recognise the internet. Any recommendations? I'm in Maroochydore :-)
David B. replied:
Sorry Tim Keavney just a misunderstanding of terminology. Factory resetting is taking it back to how it came from the factory which is completely blank. Most Factory Reset buttons will wipe all programming in the modem. I have this same issue with some providers who also tell customers to do the same thing and then I have to go out there and fix it.. (not mentioning TPG's wonderfully useless helpdesk of course...)

My husband has his own business called fresh technology and he is fantastic. He is at a conference just now but maybe if u call him he can give u a few ideas how to fix it. His number is 0468894804
David B. replied:
Tim Keavney - why would you recommend someone to factory reset their modem? Can't believe you would tell someone that! If it isn't working properly now it certainly wouldn't be after deleting all the programming!!! (ie, deleting internet username and password login...)
