I moved from Sherwood House 3 years ago due to moving and I miss that place! You could always get an emergency sit and wait app, and they have a hold system on their phoneline, unlike many others that are just constantly engaged! We used to see Dr Miller, lovely man. Good luck! Xxx
Lucy B. replied:
Sherwood House is ok. Ive not died yet.

I didn't get a real close look at it yesterday, but I think your tension bolt is either broken or not working right. A real dumb problem! Seems like a failure point that doesn't exist on the cambium saddles. http://pedaldamnit.blogspot.com/2010/01/brooks-b-17-champion-special-titanium.html

Marvin Brooks, hands down. He has burned off, like, seven warts for me. https://www.northmemorial.com/brooks
Jerry T. replied:
I'd like to know exactly what's up with it as I had a lot of nose area issues on a B17 Flyer (stretched, nose rotated, stripped bolt) that I was able to solve. Calhoun Cycle had new bolts in stock if that's your problem.
Can anyone recommend a doctor's surgery where you don't have to phone up everyday at 8.30 to be told after 97 repeat calls that all appointments have gone for the day...
Nas K. replied:
Oldbury health centre....maybe I've just been lucky but we've always managed to get every emergency appointment. With 4 young children you can imagine the amount of time I've spent there! Lol
Dani B. replied:
Dr Naeem on dog kennel lane... always been seen the same day and my children never have to wait

Ridgacre Road Surgery has been great when I have needed them http://www.ridgacremedicalcentres.com/

I've used the vanish "hi-traffic" spray foam for stuff like that, and a REALLY stiff brush. Had some stains, but mostly was a re-fresh, but he comes out an does a quote first. his name is Mark (ironically) 07951 476 532 , tell them that i put you in touch, from Katherine Road (i need to get him out too after a recent flood!!!)

I've recently transferred to Sherwood House Surgery after hearing how good they are, any recommendations for the doctor with the best bedside manner please?
Jamie H. replied:
Pretty much anyone but Dr Kay
Teresa N. replied:
What's wrong with Dr Kay?
Michelle S. replied:
My parents go to this surgery and I have to take my mother to the Drs as she's disabled. I find all of the Drs there really nice but Dr Jaron seems very good.
Sheila C. replied:
The only one I won't go to is Dr Hoffman I try to see Dr Kay if its for my COPD he is the best for lung problems
Clover V. replied:
Dr Kay is pretty condescending. "I wonder.....have your ever tried...electrolysis to deal with unwanted hair under your chin?". Well, duh.
Laura J. replied:
Dr. Miller.
Laura J. replied:
Dr. Miller the most approachable G.P. ever.
Sarah D. replied:
I can't get on with Dr. Kay but that's my view. Irfan is by far the one who will listen to me. Hoffman for ladies is very 'thorough' dr miller and opie I really like. Dr jaron I've only seen twice when I was pregnant and she was very nice!
Jenny P. replied:
I have never had a problem with Dr Kay, although he can be a bit brusque! Dr Fulton is lovely but on maternity leave at the moment. Dr Hoffman is good but some people don't like going to her.
Jacqueline G. replied:
Dr Opie is lovely (female) always remembers past conversations and never rushes me. Not sure if she is there all the time tho
Jenny P. replied:
I wonder if she does split shifts with Dr Jaron then?

Smethwick Medical centre is an absolute joke, stay away from them
Paul M. replied:
If they will accept you, I can highly recommend Karis Medical Centre, Waterworks Road, Edgbaston, which is a large Teaching Practice, closely allied to the University of Birmingham Medical School and Queen Elizabeth Medical Centre. A little way from Bearwood, but, having been with them since 1981, I cannot praise their service highly enough.

Richard B. replied:
Hilltop surgery. Just by the George pub. Anyone with kids, will appreciate how many visits you have to make to your GP. The problem I found with previous surgeries was...one or two doctors were great...the others weren't. At Hilltop every doctor the kids, myself or my wife have seen, have been great. I could go on... It's quality.
