i went to www.quotemehappy.com WITH the outstanding claim against me. Not only didi they not rip me off, but after the charges were dropped the reinstated my NCD and gave me £250 refund on my insurance quote based on me retaining my NCD. REALLY GO AND CHECK THEM OUT!
Alan B. replied:
Hmm, I guess QuoteMeHappy.com have some restrictions around the age of your car, their won't cover my 1990 Rover or 1998 Honda CRV..
Alan B. replied:
Never, ever, buy insurance from Admiral or Elephant.co.uk. If you write of your car they won't let you transfer your policy to another car and cancel it
Alan B. replied:
Tescocompare.com all the way.. Tesco are generally much cheaper than everyone else
Brum M. replied:
www.quotemehappy.com online only insurer, does not check your employment history, does not check with previous insurers, you are required to give them proof of "No Claims Discount" in document form (has to be within the last 24 months to be valid) They don't send any paperwork through or have a call center as its online only. Its cheap as chips. You download and print your documents from the website. I've been with them for 2 years and they have either matched or beaten all price comparison sites.
Midland Paintworks... Or you could speak to Moonshine Motors in Burton. Neither of these are in Coventry obviously, but they both do good work. What happened? Just seen Paul 's post, Dave Haywood would be a good bet too!

Can anybody recommend a good insurance company for a CA, I'm with footman james for my cars and I can have several vehicles on a classic car policy but they won't let...
Gary K. replied:
Keith , I pay £132 through Heritage for my CA and it has an agreed valuation of £10,000 http://www.heritage-quote.co.uk/ Worth a try?
Janet F. replied:
I wouldn't ever recommend Footman James. My old van had a bit of an accident which meant it had a bent front wheel arch, sill and door. Chassis was undamaged. I already had all the spare panels to bolt on but they registered as cat b so it had to go to a breakers yard. I wasn't allowed to buy it back off them and it was all because the so called expert didn't even know what he was looking at. He kept calling it a cf And he took exception to being told what it was by a woman.
