I recently signed up for the Prairie Moon Nursery catalog and it looks pretty good! They sell seeds, bare root plants, and seed mixes. It's not Rhode Island-specific (I think they are located in the midwest) but I was able to find some plants in there that I was hoping to get at the RI Native Plant Sale (I never seem to be able to make it over there). Here's the link, you can order online or get the physical catalog: https://www.prairiemoon.com/

Forest Hills Nursery on Aqueduct and Hattoy's in Coventry. You just missed URI's plant sale, I got a bunch of native plants there last weekend. Also check out our local invasive plants. The worst offenders in my yard (Spectacle Pond area) are bittersweet, multifora rose, and Japanese knotwood. Multifora rose is a nasty thornbush. I hate it so much and I think it hates me too.

I'd suggest my super-thrifty method: Don't buy anything and just let whatever grows come in. You'll have a nice meadow of native greenery in no time! It's working swimmingly for me.

Also a new Cranston homeowner as of last fall. Welcome, neighbor! Also trying to do some planting now that we've had a break in all the rain. Unfortunately, haven't gotten anywhere that isn't a box store, but I know there's a string of nurseries on Atwood Ave. in Cranston and Johnston (Atwood Ave Greenhouses, Central Nurseries, and Jacavone Garden Center), but can't vouch for their selection of natives. I know that's not much more help than a simple Google search would get you, but I'm interested to see what anyone else chimes in with.

Check out Seven Arrows Farm in Attleboro or there is a native plant sale held at the South Side Community Land Trust.
