Security system reccomendations Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a security system for my new house. I quite stressed since I know that a couple burglars happened last...

I have a small apartment and got the [WYZE system](https://wyze.com/home-security-monitoring) and its professionally monitored, there's sensors and cameras you can add on. There's no contract (I think they are (or were) doing a deal that if you prepaid for a year of monitoring the starter kit was ~~free~~. 50% off) I'd look into them for an inexpensive and contract free option

Take a look at [alarm.com](https://alarm.com), you can self monitor through the app or add professional monitoring on the same app, you chose your package, intrusion, cameras, climate control, door lock, etc. Very affordable prices when compared with Vivint or ADT

I have been with Protect America, now Brinks, for 16 years. My system started to have problems and brinks wouldn’t touch it without charging an arm or leg. I called ADT, they upgraded my system and was able to used almost all of my sensors. I paid less than $300 and I pay less than $50 a month for monitoring in a 2 year contract. My system is hardwired which is perfect. They also have doorbell cameras and interior/exterior cameras. You may want to give them some consideration.

I wouldn't get fixated on getting your cameras and your security system from the same company, or even integrated together. Do you have any good local independent alarm installers? Most have a deal with someplace like alarm.com to handle the "24/7 professional monitoring"
