Battery keeps dying on my car. Any real mechanics in the New Eagle area to help?

How old is the battery? A battery's ability to hold a charge (capacity) decreases with age. I'm pretty sure that the new Advance Auto parts store will do a battery capacity test for free. If you get more than 3 years from a non-OEM battery you're doing good. If you have a battery gauge, if it is reading near 14 Volts while the car is running it's probably not the alternator. If you don't have a gauge, and you are not getting a battery/charge indicator light coming on, it's probably not the alternator.
