Hey folks. Where is a good place to get dance shoes?
William W. replied:
You can also buy dancers suede soles http://www.soles2 dance.com/Suede-stick-on-sole-for-high-heeled-shoes-3-pack-p/suede-la-3 pk-lightcol.htm. Works well for me. Means I can chose any shoe that fits, is comfortable and I like the look of and trun them into dance shoes, cheaply. A shoe repair man will suede your shoes for £20 - £30 a pair.
William W. replied:
Could also use these http://www.amazon.co.uk/DANCESOCKS-Sneaker-Dancing-Smooth-Floors/dp/B00FHB4LNO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450039492&sr=8-1&keywords=dance+sock good to have handy for that emergency lindy bomb! :-) Always be ready to dance!
Will S. replied:
If you're sure you know your size I've ordered several pairs of aris allens over the years from dancestore.com. I wouldn't say the quality was brilliant but that's only in comparison to much more expensive shoes so don't let that put you off, there's also a good range of styles, not all what you might call traditional. There are other smaller shoe manufacturers around the world making great shoes but the cost goes up a lot. If you want to sole your own shoes don't waste your money on stick on soles, find an off cut of chrome tanned split leather, you'll probably get enough for many pairs of shoes! Cut it tight to the sole of your shoe, leave no overhang and stick on with shoe goo.

Hi guys - don't use any old adhesive! Use Shoe Goo http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/281718446956?adgroupid=20976811746&hlpht=true&hlpv=2&rlsatarget=pla-124296826386&adtype=pla&ff3=1&lpid=122&poi=&ul_noapp=true&limghlpsr=true&ff19=0&device=c&chn=ps&campaignid=336823746&crdt=0&ff12=67&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff14=122&viphx=1&ops=true&ff13=80 works a treat. Make sure sole is clean. carefully trim after gluing. You might need to re glue the tiny edges after trimming.
