I have had Fords, Chevys, and Dodges. My personal preference, by far, is a Dodge (Ram). Either gas or diesel, both are good. The Mega Cab will give you as much inside room as most SUVs, but will cut down your turning ability--not much though.

Diesel for sure as it is more efficient at turning fuel in to horsepower. Also, go 250/2500 minimum...if not bigger. You would rather have more than enough power to get the job done than not. Another note... Trailer brakes are great and so is a breakaway system for your trailer. Have fun!

Yep Ford 250 with the electric brakes, that is what I have & I haul Quarter/ Percheron one big boy:)
