Biting Dogs To document the actions of an animal that bites your pet, call Broward County Animal Care at 954-359-1313, between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Provide them with the name and complete address of the bite dog’s owner, and time of day that the owner is likely to be home. An Animal CareSpecialist will be dispatched to your home, and the dog biter’s home, to investigate the situation and, if warranted, issue a citation to the dog biter’s owner. The bite dog may be required to wear a muzzle depending on the findings of the investigation. If the officer does issue a citation and the owner appeals the citation, you will be required to appear in court as a witness.

GO to Aninal Control (University and Broward n/e corner) speak to Lynette Davis who is the bite coordinator and make report. You can also do public records request to see if dog has bitten before. Call your code enforcement for leash law violation and pd for information report. If your not satisified, call you City Manager's office, infirm him/her whats going on, how tge dig is aggressive and an attack on a person is probably in the future. I would alsi make sure he/she knew that they are responsible seeing as they have been made aware of it if nothing is done.

This is a Leash thing ..If you do not have a closed in yard you are to have your dog on a 6 ft leash... Good ole Broward County Leash Law!!!

Animals "At Large" – The Leash Law: Section 4-3 The term “at large” means that your pet is not confined or somehow controlled. It is against the law for any person to permit their dog to be at large. This means that the dog must be under the direct, physical control of a person by means of one of the following: •Leash •Cord •Chain •Confined to the property of its owner by means of a fence It is against the law to tie, chain or tether a dog so that it has access to public property or the property of another person. There is no leash law for cats because they are considered free-roaming animals. However, a property owner does have the legal right to humanely trap or catch any nuisance cats on their property. Pets found to be “at large” may be impounded at the Broward County Animal Care shelter. Nuisance Animals: Section 4-4 A property owner has the right to humanely catch or trap a nuisance cat or dog on their property and bring that animal to Broward County Animal Care and Adoption. A property owner also has the right to contact Broward County Animal Care and Adoption to remove the animal from their property.

it was nice of her to pay 350.. but they need to bring in to account how much it is to file and how much the bill is.. Is it where they will get there money? This is always what Civil comes down too.. Just like if it costs 500$ to file all papers and pay court costs.. and the bill is only 445$ it is not worth losing any money.. All the cops would say is this is a Civil matter !! And If they call Animal control The ladys Big Dog will be Killed !!! Keep this in mind!! Cops Deal with Humans Not Dogs!!
