My husband and I spent 3 weeks in Iceland this past June/July for our honeymoon!
You'll want a good down jacket because they're lightweight and warm - you can find these at REI but be prepared to spend $100+.
Base layers both top and bottom are necessary - there is a Columbia outet at the Anthem Outlets where you may be able to find some. We bought some weird/neat base layers from Columbia that had this reflective material on the inside to help keep your heat in.
If you're planning on hiking, I would make sure you get wool socks and boots that are at least water resistant.
We did the Landmannalaugar trek, and waterproof pants (and jacket) were a lifesaver as we were caught in some heavy sleet one day. If you're doing any sort of backpacking I would also recommend a waterproof cover for your backpack.
Honestly, we did most of our shopping from [Sierra Trading Post](http://www.sierratradingpost.com/), they are an outlet website and have AMAZING prices on outdoor gear. Sign up for their email list as they will often send out coupons for an extra 20%-40% off!
I could talk about Iceland all day. Let me know if you have any specific questions!
