Walmart doesn’t normally code as a grocery store unless it is a marketplace location. Use a 2-3% cash back card.

The only best way to get rewards shopping at Walmart is to get the Synchrony Walmart credit card, but you only can shop on Walmart.com to get 3%

I was surprised that Walmart coded as groceries on my CSR for my purchase 2 weekends ago. $107 purchase for 535 UR points. I’m not complaining.

Use a 2% back card like citi double cash and purchase a gift card on raise. They are doing 2.5% cash back on gift cards. So that’s like 4.5% back.

Well for the time being your CSP is getting 3 x back on groceries, you could use it to buy $1500 worth ( The limit for June) of Walmart gift cards and that would last you about four months. There are also Data Points suggesting grocery pick up *does* code as groceries for the Gold. Otherwise Walmart has their own CC offered by Synchrony, but it's not great.
