Can anyone recommend a podiatrist / orthotics / run biomechanics assessment / run gait analysis type service ?

I think you can refer yourself to Mr Price at Rowley hall, he's excellent, an orthopod who deals with feet and altered lower limb biomechanics. Prices to be fitted for most are around the £200 Mark. For much cheaper alternative the orthotics you buy off the shelf aren't a bad start. Build up wearing time slowly (increase by an hour a day) and don't start by wearing them training, wherever you get them from.
