I have been putting this off for close to 10 years, but I think it's time to face my fear. Can anyone recommend a good chiropractor in Winchester?
Tami E. replied:
Lykens Chiropractic! Dr. Nikki is fantastic!
Bridget K. replied:
Kathy Kehoe will have a good recommendation. Also, nothing to fear! Seriously. Hope your back feels better soon!
Kara L. replied:
Scott has been going to Dr. Doepper at Capitol Rehab, the office is next to Mane Attraction, near Costco. Results have been great!
Ellen P. replied:
Mine is ok, it's in the Creekside plaza, called Creekside Chiropratic.

I liked Dr. Hudspath in Stephens City. He's blind, but that gives him a much better sense of being able to sense your issues by touch. I stopped going when I found out that I had degenerative disk disease in my neck and that a chiropractor wasn't what I needed for that. He did help me otherwise.

I also use Dr. Hudspath in Stephens city and love him!!!

I went to Dr Loy, but decided not to keep going because it wasn't helpful to my issue. I do really like Sirona Massage Therapy in Strasburg though. Her name is Sandy Lipscomb and she's helped me a lot, especially with my ski accident.
Kathy K. replied:
I see Dr. Loy in Winchester, he's very good and open minded to what his patients need, and will try different techniques to find what works best. Also is very sensitive to patient needs and that they are comfortable. Good office staff. And has 2 nights a wk that I can go after work. He doesn't take my insurance but he only charges what my copay is so its the same price and he also does acupuncture. I also like Dr. Carrier in Front Royal & Strasburg, but hours in Strasburg are not good for my schedule, also a good office staff and he takes my insurance. I have arthritis in my neck and also see Sandy, who is excellent, for massage. I've been seeing a chiro for many years and have found them very helpful. I was convinced when my SIL had her back go out in 1982, MIke and her husband carried her out of the house on a board, like a stretcher, took her to the chiropractor. I stayed with her kids and when she came back, she walked in the door. I have clients who have had back surgery years ago and still have pain, though I do believe that back surgery has improved, I think it is a last resort and they never guarantee it will work.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations!! I just have to pick one now, haha. Kathy, I have heard that Dr. Loy is good. I am looking for someone open minded. I am usually wary of having x-rays and taking medicine so anybody open to trying different remedies that also don't include surgery sounds good in my book.
Derek B. replied:
Dr Loy is very good been going to him since he has been in Winchester.
