Umm. You cant ask for a NICE restaurant an then only be willing to pay SEK100/meal.... A kebabplace i f***ng ÅRSTA (not a very nice suburb) isnt exactly what I would expect when asking for a nice meal. Årsta isnt Stochkolm either for that sake. For 100.- Id say you get a nice meal at Mc Donalds.

One of my "regular" places is SMAK, which is a cool place. Far from 100 krona I think. But the same chef has a hamburger joint, named Vigårda in the MOOD Mall in the central part. He's trying a "good quality for little money" deal. You'll get a good quality (not very big) hamburger there for 75 SEK. EDIT: Name of the place...

It might be a bit too mainstream for you(?) but I love Vapiano. To me they have the best pasta in town (that I have tried to far). When you order your pasta they make it in front of you, letting you see the process, and decide what components you want in it. It is not fast, but I really like it.

These are some of mine favorite restaurants in Stockholm Röda Havet, Chinise - Sankt Eriksgatan 97 Fairly priced, tastes good. As close as I've gotten to Chinese food here. A dish goes for about 80-120kr. Brasserie la Pot, French - Karlbergsvägen 52 Slightly more expensive, but excellent food. Has special offers on Mondays - 140kr for a meal. The moules marinieres are wonderful! Gunters Korv, German - Karlbergsvägen 66 A sausage stand, might be the best in Stockholm! Offers a variety of different sausages in a baguette with sauerkraut. 50-80kr. Cafe Piastowska, Polish - Tegnergatan 5 Slow service (took 90min for my food, just chill with a few beers) and the food is average but the decor is nice. One of the few restaurants that serve polish food and beer. 120 and up. Good place if you have a date! Other than that I really recommend Soldaten Svejk!

vegetarian option: chutney http://chutney.se/ it's at Katarina Bangata 19, the closest subway is probably medborgarplatsen or skanstull. it feels more like a diner or coffee place than a proper restaurant, though, very informal but i like it a lot. you usually get to choose from three cheaper courses that you can get a refill on (that also change every day, though they're always pretty similar) and a bunch of more expensive stuff from the menu.

Soldaten Svejk, Östgötagatan 35. Good central european (Czech) cuisine. Schnitzels and fried cheese, it's awesome.

Some of my favourite Asian food places in Stockholm: Nem Nem Quan - Great Vietnamese place at Åsögatan. Elefantpojken - Laid back place with decent priced Thai food. Ringvägen. Blue Light Yokohama - The best Japanese Izakaya in town. Åsögatan. Peony - Very spicy food from Sichuan. Two restaurants, Globen and Vasastan. Farang - South east Asian food. A bit more expensive. Tulegatan. En Ful och En Gul - Decent asian food at Erstagatan. Ramen Ki Mama - Really good Ramen place located on Birger Jarlsgatan. Steam - Great place for take away Asian food. Try the Indonesian Laksa soup.

Moldau close to Hornstull. Czech/Austrian food. Buddha Nepal in Årsta. Nepalese and Tibetan food. Extremely good. Prices about 120 SEK though. Hjälmaren in Årsta. Classic Swedish restaurant food. Still looks like the 50 s. One of the best sunk-hak. Palmyra in Årsta. Closed for vacation throughout July. Stockholm's best Kebab and portions that'll make you burst.

Opera House Backfikan for lunch. I think the sill plate is about 125. Edit: I just checked, 150:-. Worth it. I've been on a quest to try all the sill plates in town and this one has been the best so far.

It's a bit over your budget, but I strongly recommend Ho's located at Hornsgatan 151. Chinese food that is to die for. Personally, I prefer Nuh's over Koh Pangan as it's less of a circus and more of a restaurant.

For 100:- you could visit Vapiano if you like Italian food. It's a food chain but a bit classier than for example McDonalds. I like the one in Gamla Stan but they are all the same when it gets down to the food. If you are willing to spend some money in order to eat well, you should visit Griffins Steakhouse. They serve awesome steaks and they have a wide range of wine to accompany your food. A main course probably goes for 200-400:- so it might be to much for your budget.

Most restaurants in Stockholm will let you have your vegetarians sit at the same table as you. That means you don't have to leave them unattended in the street while you eat.

Nybrogatan 38 has good food, fair prices and is popular among locals. Can be hard to get a table if you're a big party without a reservation however.

Meatballs for the People in Södermalm has great meatballs and it's not too expensive I don't think? Pelikan also has great meatballs and thats not far from Medborgarplatsen. Hope this helps :)

Traditional Swedish........ vegetarian food. Hmm. Have a potato!

Vegetarian tourist here, I went to Paradiso yesterday. It's a small plates place and while if I had wanted a super big meal I may have been wanting but I thought the food was delicious. It's not super traditional but there's definitely a traditional bent to the flavors there. Would recommend!
