Hi Block182, After reading someone claimed social media being their forte and marketing firms are costly I had to post something. I understand you are looking for someone in your area to help you with your small tech start up. I've been in the marketing business since the 90's consulting companies from mom and pop businesses, restaurants, 100 million dollar corporations and everything in between. I've seen the cycle of several business from very beginning of getting the first sale to selling the business and sometimes bankruptcy and worse. Albeit social media is a popular and effective channel for many businesses it can also be less effective or a waste of resources than other channels (example you are B2B tech targeting high-end sales with a sales cycle that can take 6 months to a year). Having a startup and running a business ... is rewarding, it's your baby, when it comes to hiring out marketing and / or business development for your baby it's like going to someone to talk about what your kids should wear, what school they should go to and then college and what sort life they could lead since you are the parents... but know your primary customers the ones buying from you the most are going to end up directing your company... nothing more can be said...as I know nothing about your vision and your business.
