I've worked for lawyers and judges for years. You aren't going to find a lawyer that doesn't charge a lot. Anytime there is divorce that involves children/child support, etc.....it is much more involved that most think. Not taking up for the lawyers because I have been in your shoes and I know exactly what you are feeling. The Attorney General's office can help with child support and maybe even temporary support until a divorce, not sure, but at any rate, they are free. Sometimes they take a good while to get any results but??? Good luck.

My law firm in Pearland handles personal injury and criminal defense cases. We don't handle employment cases at this time, but we refer our cases to Trang Tran(888-729-3572) at the Tran Law Group and David Hodges at Kennedy Hodges(713-523-0001). I am always happy to help with referrals for attorneys for other areas of law. Feel free to give me a call 713-226-9900.
I don't know if Leland Irwin does elder law or not, but it'd be worth contacting him. He's a great person as well as a great attorney: https://www.facebook.com/theirwinlawfirm

Donna Shelton, Uh-h without getting trying to get political I would just point out that Governor / Senator Graham is no longer in power in Florida (see NY Time's articles on our current Attorney General). This is currently a "pro-business state" meaning don't look to state institutions to help (at least in immediate future) so I suggest a good attorney (unfortunately I don't them any in that region).
