I have miniature schnauzer that has to be sedated to be groomed (we have been politely asked not to return to some grooming salons LOL). I use Cypress Veterinary Clinic. They have a groomer on staff there and not all vets do.

Sometimes you have to try different meds and different doses. Like people, they can react differently to them. The Pooch Salon can try to do him. We have several difficult dogs we do or those with issues like feet or nails. I usually don't have a lot of problems with them. Lots of love and patience and calmness does wonders. How long has it been since last done? Any particular parts he is anxious about?

You can get spay/neuter vouchers from Calcasieu Animal Services to be used at vets office..usually about $20. Rabies clinics usually happen once yearly (will announce in newspapers, etc) inexpensive. Tractor Supply in Moss Bluff has a veterinarian that comes in monthly to do low cost vaccinations . Call them for schedule.

Monday-Friday 8-5 must make less than a certain amount, be on a form of government assistance or be a full time college student and must be able to show proof of residency in Calcasieu Parish.
