Not trying to be a buzz kill but that charity pays for animal testing. Here is a great list of charities that do not fund animal research: http://www.humaneseal.org/search.cfm?ap=y
I need recommendation for good restaurants (not too fancy or expensive) in Charleston area to take out of towners. I know there are so many of them.

For a delicious lunch bite downtown we love Taziki's on King. They're not too expensive and leave you feeling full but not like you've just eaten a months worth of calories. Two for lunch will run you around $20 - $25. Local to both Summerville and Downtown - both locations are yummy - Five Loaves Cafe. Will most likely be closer to $30 for lunch for two. Breakfast/brunch downtown I love Saffron up near Calhoun on East Bay. A great "snack/munchie/coffee break" spot too. I've eaten at Fast and French - it's been a while now though - and it was great each time. Fun atmosphere as well. T-bonz is fun if you've got a group and need more space - nothing "fancy or special" but always a tasty bite. Park Circle (North Charleston) has a great row of fun places to eat! Just google it. Sesame Burgers and Beer is my top choice. Fabulous food, good prices and again you leave full but feeling like you ate well - not like you're gonna regret it for the next few weeks.:)

Ditto for Five Loaves in Sumnerville. I think it the best of Summerville.

Seafood I guess? Heimans Seafood. Everyone says it's a tourist trap but the seafood is outstanding. Charleston Crab House would be another seafood choice. They are probably the least expensive. Many others are outstanding but you might be spending close to $100 per couple.

I second Bluerose Cafe in West Ashley. It's delicious and one of my favorite restaurants. It is not super expensive, either. It's not fancy or frilly and is more of a locals place, but the owners make you feel very welcome! My favorite place downtown is the Marina Variety Store. It's located on the Ashley River and has a gorgeous view. It is not super expensive either, but the food's good. They have a parking lot and validate parking, so no need to worry about a garage. Also, they do breakfast until 2 PM. I would probably go with the Marina Store for out of town guests, but you should try Bluerose ;).
