Jeremy, you're right. Meds aren't a cure all for everyone. But for some they absolutely are. Meds are what keeps them alive. But right, how about this......just be open to listening to a doctor you like and trust. Find out from the doctor why meds work for some and not others. What can they do for you, what can't they do for you. Don't close yourself off to a method of treatment without gathering information. Information from a doctor, not the internet or countless non-doctors. Do you know who Jason Russell is? Read his story and tell me he didn't need psych intervention. I think of him often because he was a normal, successful guy who had a very public breakdown. At this point, if what you're doing isn't working, consider doing something else. Just consider it. Meds don't have to be forever. What do you have to lose by listening to a doctor. Then maybe you'll want to take them and just see how you feel. Jeremy, just be open to learning more. Start there ok? If you had cancer I would hope you would make an informed treatment decision by talking to an oncologist. Same thing goes for your mental health. http://www.buzzfeed.com/jtes/two-years-after-kony-2012-has-invisible-children-grown-up?s=mobile
