Yea, I don't understand most Canadian shops. Charge 5-10 x the price of anywhere in the US. Worse, when I was doing my 5.3 in my Jeep, I called a few places that came on high recommendation, and most of them either didn't know what I was talking about, or argued about what could or could not be removed, so I gave up and had a shop in the US do EXACTLY what I wanted, for $100, return shipping included, in under a week from the day I sent it out. I had two shops tell me that the EVAP could not be removed, and another insist that I had to go to a cable driven throttle... fuuuuu.

I would squirt a tiny bit of PB Blaster on the seized parts. PB Blaster is cheap, can be had almost anywhere, and works well. It will not damage any areas of your machine.
