Can anyone recommend a good and reasonable Vet in Amador County?
Alex P. replied:
I vote Blue Oak too, they find issues quickly and they really do care about your pets, all for pretty affordable prices. when we took my dogs to Jackson Creek we went back several times with no conclusions, and all they gave us were more pills. & the staff at Blue Oak are the sweetest, willing to answer any questions you have. oh, and they also found out what was wrong with my pups ☺️

Dr. Alison Pillsbury has been practicing in the county for over 20 years... i worked for her for about 6 years and she is amazing. She has a new practice over on lower ridge across from the bowling alley.
Stephanie N. replied:
DO NOT take your animal to Alison Pillsbury. She killed my German Sheppard from neglect. Worst vet alive!
Lyndsey M. replied:
Blue Oak is my vet and Dr. Mary is probably the kindest vet i know.
Josie C. replied:
I definitely recommend Dr Mary at Blue Oak. I worked for her for a year and she definitely cares for the animals she sees.

Thank you everyone, I have used Jackson Creek in the past but there has been some changes since I've been there and want to explore all options.

Dr. Mary at Blue Oak Vet. They are great,my dogs like them. Which means a lot to me . They get me in asap when needed .
Liz R. replied:
Both Dr Clay and Dr Amanda at Pine Grove Animal Clinic are excellent vets. I've been taking my cats and dogs to Clay since I moved here in 2002. He answers all of my questions with patience and clarity. He offers me choices of treatments and explains the costs and medical differences, etc. He follows my wishes every time. $40 for an office visit.
