Dr. Earroll Bailey. I did LOTS of research before finding him. Very happy with him. https://www.resurgens.com/staff/physicians/179/Erroll_J._Bailey,_M.D.
Dr. Gary Davis - Speciality Clinics - Gainesville, GA.
Cara M. replied:
Used him for my low back surgery in 2008. He made surgery the last option and listened like no other I had met in my 10 years of chronic pain. He's AWESOME! https://www.resurgens.com/staff/physicians/198/E._Scott_Middlebrooks,_M.D.
Shelley S. replied:
Dr. David Stokes. He is not focused on keeping an operating room funded or staff busy. He was a second opinion from surgery happy Resurgens. He was very thorough and helped us understand the dangers of surgery. Whereas the Resurgens was all pressure about surgery. We opted to listen to Dr. Stokes. So glad we did. http://www.orthosurgpc.com/physicians/physicians/david-a-stokes-md/
Shelley S. replied:
Resurgens pressured me with fear and hurry up before it's too late. I signed the papers for her surgery. As soon as I left the office I felt uneasy and feared I was being rushed. My daughter broke her arm skiing at the cusp of where it attaches in the socket at the shoulder. I called my girlfriend who works for United Heathcare in the Corporate office. She said "You need a second opinion immediately that surgery has bad outcome and it is very dangerous". She gave me Dr. Stokes name. We went and he said the opposite of the doctors at Resurgence and his opinion was the same as my friend that the surgery was very dangerous and that 92% of patients heal just fine on their own. And he said this is not a rush situation. We could wait up to 3 weeks to see what gravity would do. My daughter healed perfectly without surgery. My husband tore his Meniscus. Dr. Stokes just did that surgery in March. He is doing great.

I second Dr. Billy Haynes.

Dr Jesse Seidman

I have had both of my shoulders operated on; one was broken and the other one had a torn rotator cuff. Dr. Irfan Ansari from Resurgens Orthopedics did both operations.

My understanding is they are one of the top facilities in Georgia. I took my Rhodesian there before she passed. If they can't help, they should be able to tell you a great doctor. http://bluepearlvet.com/locations/georgia/georgia-hospitals/sandysprings/

Finally my healthy ins. Has kicked in at my job!! I feel
Like I won the lottery! I can now get my shoulder fixed (rotator cuff? Tendons? Dunno) and get back to feeling...
Lynn B. replied:
Going through this right now. Highly recommend Dr. Titelman with Resurgeons at St. Joes. He just repaired hubbys biceps and did an awesome job. He will also do the rotator cuff surgery. If you have an open access plan you do not need a GP referral. Also, don't know where you are or your financial situation however, there are off site MRI services that charge a LOT less than the hospitals.
Brandy S. replied:
Also, in the physical therapy department in that area, I would see Sam Gillespie or John Hagye with Atlanta Rehabilitation and sports off North Decatur road near Dekalb hospital. They are the best in that area. After my shoulder was fixed I chose to go there and was extremely satisfied.
Christina C. replied:
& you could also go to Gwinnett Urgent Care and see Dr. Perry, if you don't yet have a PCP..If we have to refer for anything orth. ..it's ALWAYS to Resurgeons:)
Sarah B. replied:
Dr. X at Emory is the leading doctor in the South for this type of injury.
Lynn B. replied:
Emory is part of St. Joes now. I am sure they are both excellent resources. Just make sure you get a Dr. who does this type of surgery routinely. Even Peachtree Physicians at Piedmont is good.
Gala D. replied:
https://www.resurgens.com/staff/physicians This would be my choice!
Brandy S. replied:
Kevin Dispain, My first suggestion is to you check your insurance and find out if you need a referral. If you need a referral you will first need to see a primary care physician who will then have to refer you to a doctor of your choosing or his choosing. I agree on all the great comments about Resurgens orthopedics!:-) Thank you very much. We love to read comments like this. It just so happens that I have worked for both doctor X(Xerogeanes) and Dr. Titleman and many of the doctors at Resurgens. Both doctors mentioned are great. I don't want to discount Emory but sometimes the name doesn't make them great. You are correct that Saint Joseph's office is located at Emory Saint Joseph's but Resurgens is in no way part of Emory. Some doctors will do surgery there though if it can't be done at our outpatient center. What area are you in? The doctor I would see above all others is Dr Steven Wertheim and resurgens orthopedics at St Joseph's and the Windy Hill location. He is by far one of the best doctors you will find, is not scalpel happy, and he cares about the well being and outcome of his patient. His staff is amazing too. Please let me know if you need any help gaining an appointment. Good luck to you and I hope your shoulder feels better.

Yes, I just had Chris at one yesterday. It's called southern orthopaedic ... They just changed there name to ortho Atlanta. Johns Creek office is closest to you, but they do have one in Lawrenceville also. Text me!!
By chance are there any Orthopedic surgeons in the group? Have a complicated case and questions. Thanks.
Lynn B. replied:
Depends on the body part! LOL...I would highly recommend Byron Rosenstein for complicated hip, since I had a very complicated hip! Robert Titelman did a great job on husband's shoulder and biceps. Both are with Resurgen's Group at St. Joseph's in Atlanta. I don't think you could go wrong with Resurgen's in any case.
