Does anyone know a vet that could give me advise on my puppy? Seems like all vet clinics are booked out today and don’t want to take him to the animal ER and pay tons....
Laura B. replied:
Quail Pointe in clinton
Ash R. replied:
Don’t know if you’ve tried Clearfield Vet, but if your puppy has been seen there, they’re great to work something out with you if they can’t get you in. They did that for my pup when he got sick a few months ago. https://clearfieldvetclinic.com/
Courtney K. replied:
Animal care center in bountiful. They are open on Saturdays and take walk ins. Especially for puppies.
My dog jumped up our patio stairs and now suddenly can't put weight on his front leg. Lots of limping and whining. I'm afraid its broken or (best case scenario) he...
Erin L. replied:
I don't know about payment plans but Clearfield Veterinary Clinic on state street is amazing. They took great care of my dog that got hit by a car.
Angela S. replied:
Antelope vet has always been great for us. Or pup had something similar but with the back legs. It was a slipped disc.
Kim J. replied:
Our dog had a rubber band inn her neck, it looked like someone had slit her throat. I called Clearfield Vet before taking her in and they said that they could work with us on payments but all of our fur babies are patients there, that might make a difference.
Courtney K. replied:
Animal Care Center in Bountiful will see you with no appointment. I know it's not that close but my family regularly uses them because they are the only vet we've been able to find who actually cares about the well-being of our animals. A broken limb should be taken care of immediately--so I'm disappointed in the local vets by not squeezing your precious guy in today!
Janae S. replied:
When my dog needed stitches (life or death injury) the ONLY place that would take her that day was Quail Pointe Vet. It happened right at 5:00 and the emergency vet wasn't opened yet. I watched my regular vet drive out of the parking lot and his receptionist wouldn't call him back. However, Dr. Moss in Kaysville is really amazing too (I believe he was out of the office the day of that accident).
Tye E. replied:
Dr. White at Bayview animal hospital in Farmington is amazing! He took care of my baby when she was hit by a car. Even took her to his own home to make sure she made it through the night before performing surgery on her broken pelvis. ~Lindsay
Chris Y. replied:
I know bluegrass vet in Ogden on 1900 just south of Roy is who we use. Dr. Doughty is great they have an option that you can apply for a medical credit card that works for your pets as well.
Katie-Eric J. replied:
Sorry about your pooch... Dr. Lara Taylor at Clearfield Vet is amazing. 1-801-776-4372
Brigit P. replied:
I would go to Canyon View Cares in Layton off Angel. They work with us every time we go in.
I know everyone raves about how great the Antelope Animal Hospital is, but what could possibly make them so great that their prices are $250-300 more than any other vet...
Brandon D. replied:
http://www.animalcarevethospital.com/ this is the best place
Dani W. replied:
Clearfield Vet is AMAZING! Dr Laura, Doc Taylor and staff are phenomenal.
Karen J. replied:
Antelope Hospital always gives me all the options. He doesn't try and "up sell" me.
Jamie W. replied:
Both of my dogs have been going there for 7 years now and I will no longer go back. I've always been willing to pay more for great care but I was just made aware that the great care has really been lacking to the point I could have lost my dog. My dog just had surgery for double hernias which I've been trying to get an answer on what it could be for over a year. I finally had an apt with the female Dr. and within 3 minutes she told me what it was. The surgery was $2700.00 at a specialist in Salt Lake which that surgeon informed me it was as bad as it could be without him dying and there was no reason any Dr. should not have know what it was before now. I am now in the market for a new Dr. Don't risk the life of your best friend.
Dave W. replied:
If you want to see high prices try Dr Moss in Kaysville outrageously high
Monica G. replied:
Clearfield Vet is who we switched to. Both Dr Taylor and DrLaura are great, as welladd the staff. (and they are very affordable) We went to Antelope for 8 years but when we got anther dog and had to do surgeries we just couldn't swallow the price at Antelope. I've loved going to Clearfield Vet and will continue to go there. ☺
Lori S. replied:
I take my dogs to Banfield Pet Hispital at the Petco (or Petsmart) in Layton next to Deseret Book. We have them on pet medical plans. On the pet plans, you get 15% off medicines and lower prices for the visits and devices. So well worth it. And, the staff there is great!!
Heidi G. replied:
Clearfield Vet is amazing and they do a good job and are great to work with.
Vet recommendations. My dog hurt her hind leg and can't put any pressure on it. I had an appointment with Antelope veterinary hospital twice today but they kept pushing...
Justin N. replied:
if it's urgent you can go to the Animal ER in Sunset... We've been there. http://www.animalerutah.com
Patrick F. replied:
Could be a torn ACL. My dog had that as well. In both hind legs. Took him about 3 months to recover with lots of rest (no running, no chasing the ball, etc.). Antelope Animal is great though. Great vet, great staff.
Kelsey S. replied:
We LOVE Clearfield Vet Clinic too. They are caring and honest.
Angie P. replied:
We ended up with surgery for both. He wasn't able to walk on it at all. A week after he got the all clear from the vet, he tore the second. So got it fixed too. Had to take him to SLC (Advanced Veterinary Care) cause my vet (Layton Vet) didn't do surgeries on the bigger dogs. He's had a rough winter, but doing really well now. A local vet should be able to tell you quickly if that is what it is (ours did anyway). Think it healing on its own depends on how bad the tear is. Good luck!
Krista J. replied:
hands down Clearfiel veterinary clinic on the new highway and Main Street.they are the cheapest and the best great bedside manner
Go to Dr. Toniolli at Antelope Animal Hospital. He's great with Brandy. http://antelopevet.net/staff/
Tye E. replied:
Dr. White at Bayview animal hospital in Farmington. He is wonderful! ~Lindsay
Erin B. replied:
I know we always want to support local, but since there isn't a vet in Syracuse. I go to Steven Earl Lemmon at Ogden animal hospital. It's a bit of a drive, but soooooo worth it. He is the best, reasonable prices, but overall he cares about your furry family member! Been my vet for 30 years
I worked for Veterinarians several several years when I was younger. Each time we've taken our pets to Clearfield Veterinary, we've been very happy. They are not money hungry, ordering unnecessary tests etc. Dr Lara and her staff are very compassionate.

I have worked for an animal hospital in the past and I have been happy with Clearfield Animal Hospital - they are reasonable and I have had great service.
Chris Y. replied:
Blue grass on 1900 in ogden is amazing. Dr. Doughty is by far the best vet in utah in my opinion.
Does anyone know the cheapest place to get my kitty nudered?
Krista H. replied:
Yes Heartsong is where we took our cat. It was a little more than The Big Fix but not much and cheaper than most vets. They were also very friendly and good to our cat. You can also get vaccinations there.
Pam C. replied:
Heartsong: 801-614-5252 600 So State, Clfd. Next to Kents
Kelly H. replied:
Layton Veterinary Hospital on Main Street. We have been taking our animals there for years. Great staff and prices.
Amber W. replied:
Kaysville Clinic is really good too. Very reasonable prices.
I know it's been talked about before, but I didn't pay attention. Forgive me! ISO recommendations for a reputable vet for a neuter that won't cost my kid's their...
Manda C. replied:
I'm not sure what their cost is but I hands down recommend clearfield veterinary clinic (https://clearfieldvetclinic.com/) for the spay/neuter. Whatever you do, don't go to quail point. We got ours done at quail point for our German Shepard 9 years ago and she has ever since been terrified of the vet. I was not happy with how they handled her care during or after and clearfield has worked wonders on minimizing her trauma at subsequent vet visits.
Ash R. replied:
I’ve really liked Clearfield Veterinary clinic. They’re always so nice to both you and your pet and they’re really affordable. I won’t go anywhere else, now.
I’ve seen this cat several times on the walking trail down by 700 S and 4000 W. She is the sweetest cat, extremely friendly, doesn’t seem to fear people, and I...

Steve N. replied:
Call Jocelyn at VIP GROOMING (801) 825-4800 I don't think they sedate them, however they may know someone who does!

We love Dr. Laura at Clearfield Veterinary Clinic. Having had worked for Veterinarians for several years I must say I have great respect for her and her staff. I have a Dachshund with back problems and they have helped her so much. And their rates are very reasonable.
Justin H. replied:
Antelope vet clinic is the best!!! This is coming from an eye Dr. And Dr. T is the most caring compassionate vet I've ever met. He takes care of all three of my dogs, and has for years. I can not speak more highly of him and his amazing staff.

Dr Mike Clayton at Alcor Cresta. He's down in Midvale, but we would drive to Saint George to see him. He's amazing.
Is their a good Vet nearby that anyone can recommend? The one I normally use is in Farmington. Looking for something closer in Syracuse if possible.
Aubrie L. replied:
I've heard good things about Antelope Animal Hospital, they are by 7-11 now, but are building a large office on Antelope and Marilyn Drive. Personally I love Layton Vet.
Amy B. replied:
We love clearfield veterinary clinic. Dr Lara Taylor took great care of our yorkie when he broke his pelvis in two places after getting ran over by a car, and she could have charged us a ton by saying he needed surgery, but she was honest and told us it could heal on its own since he was so small so it only cost us like $50 for pain medication. They are very honest there
Kelly H. replied:

Tiffany B. replied:
I love Dr. Tonioli at Antelope Animal Hospital. They were very compassionate when we had to put our dog down. Also, he gives you treatment options at various prices. They only do dogs and cats though. We had to go to Centerville for an avian vet.
