For periods up to a week, I often park alongside the large helicopter maintenance shed, which is free & just east of the aircraft viewing parking area on Dakota Street, after parking in the free 15 minute zone, getting a boarding pass +/or checking in a bag. If I'm going to be away for longer than a week, I park for free on the NW side of Bolt Road. All that is required is arriving an hour before scheduled flight departures to allow sufficient time for walking the 750-1000 meter distance to the airport after moving my vehicle.
