I had one who needed to gain...and that was a real shock w/ the genetic makeup of my family and my husbands. The Dr. Told us must get calories in him. Best way healthy...but calories must get in. Really try healthful...as later mine had issue. But to give some bang for the buck...we got chocolate milk boxes...extra sugar but protein...no Pam...eggs w/ oil...red milk...u can get pasta that healthier...ronzoni has white w/ extra fiber...all my kids eat. I make a banana muffin w/ white whole wheat flour and oats. Try diff't nuts and see what he likes...cheese stix...yogurt...maybe some melon for dessert...even if don't usually offer...just at least a few more calories..and healthy.

Susie Baumohl he does like peanut butter. At least he used to. He hasn't eaten it in a while because he got sick of it. actually today i asked him if I can buy the bread (whole wheat) I used to buy for him, and maybe he can have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches again.... He actually said yes, he will try it again! So that could be a good snack.....?

Susie Baumohl he loooooooves pasta. He also likes Apple kugels broccoli salad.....just not sure what to add to that stuff to make it "healthful calories". His Dr keeps stressing that....

Susie Baumohl those are great ideas thanks! Are there any recipes for meat or chicken in puff pastry dough or I just have to make something up? I'll have to look into meat lasagna. I think he may like that actually ...

Shani Spiro Sussman he used to eat cashews and loved them. we biught mixed nuts and tasted all of it and said it was ok. Hasn't had once since and won't even eat the cashews from it!!

Dentist by far is Dr Eileen Kirschbaum, she is next to McAlister. She is amazing and fabulous, my kids never knew they had a shot

My eight yr old daughter and I absolutely love Dr Eileen Kirschbaum as well! She is beautiful inside and out and is just wonderful with children!

Is there no pediatrician in Suffield? We recently moved here too and we're thinking of changing our pediatrician but I can't seem to find one in town. We go to Dr Levitt in Longmeadow maybe we'll just stay with him. He's pretty good

Currently with Dr. Porter...liked him in the beginning but as years went by I started to change my feelings when he would not see me when they forgot to add me to their schedule. Was not happy at all! I was already in the office with my kids too! I heard Dr. Segool is excellent! I will be changing soon!

Dentist I recommend is Dr. Toni Russo (female) excellent doc in Enfield, Hazard Ave.

De Eileen Kirchbaum in town is fabulous!!

Dr. Eileen Kirchbaum for a pediatric dentist for sure! She is awesome! Its a bit of a drive however Simsbury pediatrics. Now also, (prohealth physicians ) Is the BEST My mother has been a nurse there for almost 30 years, I went there as a kid and my kids go there as well! LOVE THEM!

Dr. Segool is in Enfield too. Elm St. Side

Dr Kirschbaum for pediatric dentist and East Granby Family Practice for pediatricians. Dr Howlett is terrific.

Pioneer valley pediatrics is amazing for a pediatrician. We see Dr. Yunis there but all the doctors are excellent.

Dr. Segool at PVP is awesome. He was my pediatrician through the 80's & 90's and now he is my kid's pediatrician.

We love Dr Dora aka Dora Suldan . Going to her for the last 17 yrs. Sometimes there's a wait but she's worth it. Office staff is delightful. Early morning walkin with dr. Kolsky is awesome.

We have done well with Teaneck Pediatrics.

We go to Pediamedica on Palisades. My kids see Dr. Dora Suldan. They have early morning walk-ins and Sunday morning hours.

My oldest is 19 and has had Dr Hack from the beginning. We love them all

Candlewood valley pediatrics is by far the very best!! Office staff, nurses, and all the Drs. Our favorite is Dr Hack but all are EXCELLENT.

CVP for us too. We have really loved Dr. Fanella, Dr. Hack and Dr. Tiso. Dr. Beck is good too. It is a big practice with lots of doctors, so you should always be able to get an appointment same day. They have long hours and do sick visits on Saturdays until noon. When it comes to specialists, I would do more homework though. I haven't liked doctors they have referred me to.

Winchester Pediatrics...Dr. Szwarchowska ( everyone calls her Dr. S ) she sent Kalli to a specialist and her asthma is now under control. No more begging and worrying.We absolutely love her !

Don't know of any in Fayetteville however Dr . Jeffrey Brassart at Cornerstone Pediatrics in Madison is wonderful!!! We LOVE Dr.B:)

I really like Dr.Thorpe. She's very thorough with me. I've told 2 other doctors Hunter had asthma and she's the only one that took the time to listen to me and check him.

Dr Hugh's is great. My first suggestion probably wouldn't go over very well.

Dr. Thelen here in Fayetteville is wonderful. She always listens to me. I hate constantly giving my kids antibiotics and she doesn't push them. I felt a previous dr we used pushed labs that were not necessary and Dr. Thelen doesn't push them. I think it's ridiculous to check a child's cholesterol at age 5 when they show no signs of high cholesterol, so I swapped over to Dr. Thelen.

I really like Dr. Thorpe also. She's very thorough, not to mention a really nice person. And if you ever have any questions, her nurse is very good about calling you right back.

I love Dr. Thelen! She listens to your questions and concerns and will explain something 1000 times if she has to. She's great with adults and kids. I just swapped Niki to her. When Niki had Mono Dr. Thelen called me about her test results. I loved that she did that herself instead of having her nurse do it.

We have been VERY pleased with Dr Spears. He has taken care 2 of my grand babies since birth now they are 6 and 8. The kids also love him.

Fiona Kay at the Superclinic in Palmerston is lovely and is a relatively new mum herself.

There are some GP's that have worked in Paeds and have extensive paed knowledge such as Dr Dayaratne but there isnt any private consultant paediatricians.

I am pretty sure Fiona Kay is a private peadiatrician with Top End Paediatrics. You will need a referral from your gp and the waitlist can be long but depends on what issues bubs has. She is fantastic!

I agree Dr Dayaratne at the Palmerston Medical Centre. He has alot of qualifications. He was great with my daughter when she was constantly sick, great with a family friends son who has autism and had to have gromets in the ear.

Dr. Ettephagh at Aquidneck Medical on Memorial Boulevard was Emma and Amelia's pediatrician when we lived in Newport. Very no-nonsense, very smart, and always took as much time as needed to answer questions. Highly recommended. And Dr. Parmeswarian at the same office is great for family/adults.
