Well St Michaels has two pubs The Fat Ox and the Crown so could be either of those. I also think there was some sort of tea rooms where the Happy Valley and Carols the hairdressers are now. Will ask around.

I'm with Stevie on this one, I think it was The Cellars, although this was not in St Michaels, but in Tenterden High Street.
