Hi love. I'm studying a Nutritional Therapy degree in London. Gut health is the crucial and the centre of most health issues and chronic fatigue is a condition that is addressed by many NTs. Here's an article by one of the leading nutrition colleges on chronic fatigue. http://www.ion.ac.uk/information/onarchives/chronicfatigue Your friend can look at www.bant.org for a list of qualified NTs in their area. If money is an issue both BCNH and ION college offer teaching clinic appointments for free with final year students. Hope this helps <3

Dr Charles Forsyth in Reigate is an MD practicing ecological medicine and is one of the recommended practitioners on Dr Myhill's site. Dr Myhill is highly regarded by cfs sufferers, and is an MD. She has written a book called CFS - it's not hypochondri a it's mitochondria. She has been helping people with cfs for many years now, but because of the success of the book and the interest in her practice from around the world, she is atm unable to take on any new patients. Her website is really useful tho - packed with useful info. There are various tests she recommends from labs to check function of thyroid, adrenals, mitochondria, and to identify problematic pathogens and environmental toxins such as pesticides or heavy metals. Such pathogens and toxins need to be removed to make headway. Resetting the immune system and nourishing the glands and mitochondria are also essential to treatment. But first identify what's going on. The tests can come to around £400 to 500. Another cheaper way to test is to get vega testing. I had this done the other day and am now on meds to detox specific viruses and bacteria, candida and 2 parasites (from travelling - never fully resolved), heavy metals and pesticides (mercury and pesticide contamination from head lice treatments - which my kids had and kept sharing with me for about 2 years) - the Dr I visited is in Verwood, Dorset. His name is Dr Jacobs.

ps although Ive done a lot of parasite cleansing since return from India, it doesn't seem to have had any effect on giardia, nor on bilharzia - which Dr Jacobs has identified. I was symptomatic. Regular Drs tests picked up nothing. I know I had giardia in India. Bilharzia I don't know where I picked that up... Peru... India... Morocco... but since it can go to urinary tract or lungs and probably other places too, the parasite cleanses I did might not have reached it, as they were probably mainly focused on parasites in the gut.

sorry Basia, no kinesiologists I know to contact. If you find out about one could you post here...? In the meantime, vega testing has been determined by docs connected with Dr Sarah Myhill as a very useful way to discover specific things going on, and treat them effectively. Vega testing is also a lot cheaper than the range of tests Dr Myhilll usually recommends. Hope this helps. x
