Also can highly recommend Thurston's, though its been a long time since I last ate there. Mt. Desert Island is great to visit, especiall if you stay on the quiet side, away from Bar Harbor.

Sherry, SW Harbor is our favorite MDI Town. We like the Quietside Cafe and Sawyer's Lobster Pound at Seawall for Lobster Rolls. We started our camping travels tenting at the Seawall CG in 1967!

Young's Lobster Pound in Belfast! If you want it straight off the boat and like a casual atmosphere and prefer to BYOB, enjoy a great view, and low prices. Big, barn-like place right on the harbor. It's family-run and been there for decades. Hubby loves his lobster, so we've traveled the 1,000-mile-each-way trip many times over the years. Tried many other lobster places in the area, but Young's was always the best. (Fun and interesting staff, too, several Jamaicans who return every season.)

Now you're talkin' my favorite state! So many options in Maine - two of my favs: Five Islands, Georgetown (you pick your own from the fresh catch), http://fiveislandslobster.com/ & The Lobster Pound, http://www.lobsterpoundmaine.com/ on Route One in Lincolnville just north of Camden. Both waterfront outdoor eating:-)
