You should contact MADD. They will get you in touch with the right people. They also have crime victims advocates available that work with the local da. I was recently hit by a drunk as well, in Truckee. It sucks, I still have major anxiety, it is not a fun process. Be patient! Oh, we are using Tom Archer - in Truckee. He seems great! If you need some advice, please PM me as I just went through a very difficult and painful custody battle myself but I was victorious and it all worked out. I have one lawyer who was amazing but I reside in Nevada and the case was in Nevada too (reno). Please, stay strong, stay positive, and stay smart. Do not ever give up if children are involved....
