I am looking for another bike. I have been to several bike shops here in Tulsa. Not one person ever came over to ask me if I needed any help. Is it because I am a lady?...
Anthony R. replied:
I also recommend Sehorn Yamaha. I went their after getting jacked around by Fort Thunder. It was well worth the drive. Customer service is the reason I will never buy from Fort Thunder or Ajax ever again and the next time I buy a bike it will be from Sehorn!
Dawn N. replied:
I bought mine at Harley Davidson world in OKC. They were happy to take my money. Lol!

Time to upgrade. Need new bike, shop recommendations? So it's an end of an era for me... I have outgrown my old 1970's-80's Fuji. Aside from professional road bikes I...

Recycle a Bicycle! I recommend these guys all the time. The selection is kind of random depending on what they have in stock, but they'll definitely have something in that price range. You get the cheapness that comes from buying a donated/rebuilt bike, assurance that the transaction is legit, a full mechanical certification, and it's a non profit organization with an emphasis on education. They've got shops in the LES and DUMBO.
redtigerstripe replied:
Bikesdirect.com might be worth taking a look at. Since they deal directly with the manufacturers, you can get decent bikes at much cheaper prices. The risk, of course, is purchasing online without knowing how well the bike will fit.
jjjonny replied:
http://www.thebiketruck.com/ These guys are in Greenpoint and are basically buying used bikes in PA, fixing them up and reselling. They are all over craigslist, and will have solid, clean, vintage road bikes in your price range.
grantrules replied:
Craigslist.
lostarchitect replied:
At that price point, Craigslist. Can you fix up a bike yourself? Do you have the tools to replace all the bearings and grease, chain and cassette, etc? If not, getting the needed tools will probably cost less than having a shop do the work. You could practice on your old bike and thus make it more valuable when you sell it.
