house is too hot to heat up with cooking. I need some easy food ideas that require MINIMAL heating of my kitchen. Any ideas?

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/simple-turkey-chili/ you just throw it all in a pot and cook it til its warm enough for your taste. its my favorite, I do omit all the hot spices and I use mccormicks chili seasoning instead of chili powder and I use a Heinz Italian style diced tomatoes (its seasoned with basil, garlic, and oregano), I use jenni o turkey meat, but I am sure you can use regular beef meat as well..........the recipe is nice for doing what you think would taste better. Then I just put sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese and green onions on top.
HAS ANYONE USED ANY OF THESE COMPANIES LISTED:
Impressed Asbestes Abatement Corp. (in Forestville)
Gugino Plumbing & Heating, Inc. (in Fredonia)
L. Napieralski...

I'm going to see either Eugene Vecchio or his wife at dance class pickup for our daughters in about 40 minutes. He is a good friend of ours, is honest, and does good work.
Anyone know where I can get a heating element on a Sunday? Ours just went out in our oven and I have a bunch of food waiting to be cooked for Superbowl :(
