Pediatricians in Tyler, TX

How exciting! My husband got out 2 years ago from the Army and we have been living here a year! We use Dr Blanco at the trinity clinic on south broadway- love her! There is a great splash pad in whitehouse, story time at the library, etc. We live in Whitehouse near the high school and love the area! As for jobs, what job areas are you looking? My husband works at the VA clinic and I believe they are hiring. Feel free to send me a pm if you need more info!

Dr. Blanco is our doctor too Kimberly Hill! Aubrey Lara Andersen there a great park called Brookshires wildlife museum that is located off of the loop 324 & old Jacksonville. I would say it's the best park in the area. Other great kids places are the discovery place downtown, the Faulkner park splash pad or the Whitehouse splash pad. The Caldwell zoo is a great zoo too!

Dr Rogers !!! he has been around tyler a long time.. many other drs, in other fields, recommend him.. i like him because he is not fresh out of med school and he has probably seen it all, he likes answer your questions thoroughly.... i trust him... he kept close track of my boys progress, while they were in nicu even though he wasnt even their attending dr in nicu.... dr rogers told me our 1 st visit to him, after we left the hospital, that he had been checking their progress daily

Dr. Everett!!! My girls love going to the doctor:) how often does THAT happen??? We have been through alot with Carlee as far as size/maturity/ADHD... He will always call me himself-may be 6:30 but I think that sure says a lot about how he genuinely cares for his patients:)

Dr. Ellen Melton, hands down. I was working at Mother Francis when I was pregnant with Lauren. I got to go and watch the doctors with the babies, talk to the nurses, etc. She was my first choice and was the same for almost everyone there. Great lady!

Do y'all still live in Van? Go see my sister Mariellen (if you don't mind hanging out with Medicaid people)... she's at trinity clinic on north Broadway (I think). Dr Reisinger is one of the docs in her practice

Dr Susan Sickler, we love her! She has twins that are around the my boys age, she is soft spoken, gentle but very knowledgeable. Honestly the first pedi I have liked out of all my kids!

I love Dr. Michael Austin...have multiple friends who use him. He always listens to all of my concerns, and takes his time with me....he is also good about calling meds in when I need them without a drive to tyler. His nurse is also wonderful!

Dr Jennifer Steeger Trinity Clinic, young, energetic, gets to know the kid and family, not a drug/medicine pusher....LOVE HER and so do my kids!!

Dr. Munda at ETMC is amazing to our boys! She is very detailed, explains issues/concerns very thoroughly, very very sweet, and actually truly listens to what's going on. She has always figured out exactly what's going on when our kids have been ill and She knew just looking at Mason if he had pneumonia before the xray or labs even came back. ( he went through that a lot when he was little with asthma). Last I heard she was too full for new patients but if you can get her to take a new patient she has truly been the best.

We use Dr Hawkins, young new mom herself and she is in Pitts office! He is very dry! Lol! He is actually Hawkins pedi for her daughter! Hawkins is just awesome... And normal! Lol!

Jennifer Steeger is who Jessika and I both use with our kids.. and we like her cause she is the shit... thats good enough... lol...

Dr. Rogers at Trinity Clinic!! He's the best! He takes his time and will sit and answer all of your questions without rushing to the next patient! He'll sit and talk to u like your his only patient for the day! He's awesome

Ellen Melton is great. Very thorough and has a fabulous nurse!

A lot of these sound like wonderful, caring doctors. We used Rick Rogers and loved him. I graduated from high school with Ellen Melton, and I hold her in high regard. If you use her, be sure to say hello for me!

I use Ellen Melton. She's thorough but not just a ray of sunshine. Lol

We use Dr. Austin. He's real nice and laid back and very honest with you.

Dr Everett!!!! He's the best!!! He has 4 kids of his own, loves kids, knows what he is talking about and he is very conservative

Dr Austin love him very relaxed and easy going and also up front with anything he thinks might be an issue but he doesn't rush into additional treatments unless necessary.

Dr. Steeger. She's awesome. Funny, honest, & thorough & cares about her kiddos she's taking care of. And her np Shana Caldwell is a van girl & the same awesome!! Love them both!

dr. Paul Pitts, Trinity Childrens clinic. He and his little bowties have a dry sense of humor. Doesn't sugar coat ANYTHING, and answers my phone calls on his personal cell phone.

Kathleen Moore at apple tree pediatrics..... My kids have gone to her for 6 years.... She keeps it real and is very up front. She understands the hectic lives of us moms

Love Dr. Rogers too but he never was accepting new patients; however, I've loved him when we couldn't get in with Dr. Everett! They both have a way of speaking to them that's awesome;-)

Jeanifer Steeger. Very through, knows her business and a very good bedside manner. The boys love her! So do we!

We use Dr Calvert. She is in the same office as Rogers. We LOVE her!!!! Most of my friends use her too! If she is not there we use Dr. Everett. They are all at Trinity Clinic at Turtle Creek!:) Rogers is great too but I heard he is not taking new patients...:)

Dr. Pitts is great and so is Dr. Osteen he's at Trinity Pediatrics. I've also used Dr. Everett when Dr. Osteen wasn't available and he is great as well.

I agree with Kandiss. Dr. Pitts. He's wonderful! He cared for Nikki and Peyton, and now little Miss Greer.

Dr. Pitts is the best! He kept my kids going for all these years. (and on a side note, he's not an overmedicator, which I really like!)

Dr. Michael Austin. He is amazing. Very supportive and encouraging to parents. He is with first physician at 5 th and beckham.

I asked Dr. CAlvert and she knew about it but she said the specialists are in DAllas. She's a general pediatrician. "I love Dr. Calvert" says Mitchell.

We like Dr. Jeff Smith, he's not affiliated with either hospital, but has privileges at both. We like going with an independent because you're not stuck with specialists or services at just one hospital...gives you more options if something serious comes up. Also opens up more insurance options...

Dr Barrett, Dr Everett, and Dr Starr are all awesome!! We use Dr Starr but we have seen the others on occasion.

Would not recommend Dr. Jeff Smith. He told me that Emma was a hypochondriac when something was really medically wrong with her. He also believes to let kids cry it out when I am more of an attachment parenting kind of person. Danny Price is great.

Dr Jennifer Steeger is wonderful. She has been known to pull us off of someone else's schedule for her to see us if she's booked and the office staff scheduled a sick visit with someone else. Another one I would highly recommend is Dr William Rishel. H e's a private practice pediatrician. In my ER experience as a nurse, his patients never come in because he squeezes them in for a sick visit. He doesn't like them to have to go to ER unless they are really needing it. (Example, only patients of his I ever saw come thru had appendicitis and needed surgery). I also know him personally and he's a wonderful Christian man.

McRae or Krystal Castle are good choices

My mom worked for Dr Price before he went to Africa...we loved him....Dr Steeger came there once he left and she's the sweetest...my mom had also worked with/for DR Rogers and Dr Everitt (all TMF dr's). They are all wonderful! Not sure Steeger or Rogers will take new patients though unsure emoticon

We see Dr Barret and love him and Danny Price is our Sunday school leader and we love him. They are both men of God who would pray for and over Annabelle! You could not go wrong with either dr!!

I agree with Jill. Dr. Rogers heads the office on turtle creek. We met with him before Luca was born and felt a connection. Luca loves him and asks to go see him whenever he has a cough or sniffles. You need to agree on parenting philosophy or you will get frustrated easily and you need to have the dr's support.

Rick Rogers is awesome... He finally said he couldn't see Brooke & Derek anymore when they started college. . I never felt rushed ...he took his time to "talk" to us... Not only about medical concerns but just about life in general. I agree that you should schedule appts to talk with your top few choices. You will know the right one for you. It will feel right. It's an important decision. Good luck.

I reached out for advice on this as well. I got a ton of good reviews on Dr. Jennifer Steeger on Rusk St, as well as she had more great reviews online. I chose her as our pediatrician. She is only accepting first time moms with private insurance. About a ten minute convo on the phone got us all set up.

Dr. Andrew Hoover with (I believe) ETMC, but I'm not sure if he is there anymore. He was on their commercial lol. FANTASTIC doctor. Was my pediatrician when I was a kiddo.

Dr Nancy McRae - a lot like this crazy awesome Dr I once worked for but with kids. she is at ETMC

We love, love Dr. McRae. It's never hard to get in to see her...all the other drs in that office are great as well.

Ellen Melton was my boys pediatrician and we loved her. Rogers is Foster's and he is wonderful.

Dr. Rogers!!! He delivered me and was my pedi and if I were in Tyler I would not consider anyone else for Carson!!

Dr. Hal Everett at Trinity Pediatric Clinic gets our vote. He is in the same office with Dr. Rogers. He is a wonderful doctor!

Rick Rogers is my sons pediatrician and I just love him and his whole staff. The doctors and nurses that work in his building are amazing. He is WONDERFUL with new parents. The first month of Andrew's life I think I called their and spoke to the nurse at least once a day. The lady that gives the babies their shots there is outstanding and fast. Dr. Rogers is very knowledgeable and willing to do whatever you wish for your child. My niece and nephew all so go to him and they are 17 and refuse to change doctors.

Dr. Melton was my girl's pedi. We all love love her!! She is very thorough each and every time you see her. Her nurse Cynthia is also wonderful. When your sweet baby girl is older she is really like having a woman for her doctor.

J Kathleen Moore. She is independent so she doesn't have to abide by hospital bureaucracy. However she has admitting privileges and great rapport with both hospitals.

I went to Dr Melton all 18 years I could. I even tried going back when I was over 18. Love her!

Jillian was seen by Dr. OSTEEN at the hospital He is a mild mannered doctor and seemed very knowlwdgeable. I liked him. He is at Trinity Clinic on Turtle creek Dr.

Dr Rogers is a wonderful pediatrician. He will spend a run of time with you, the down side is that because he spends so much time his wait time is long.
