I have used Austrindo Law Office in Kuta. Talk with Yani Anggarani ...081.338.677.609. They did a good job with my lease and can refer you to the Notaris in Ubud who they use.

For setting up a business or property transaction, a notary should be enough to legalized the paperwork. Lawyer tends to make things more complicated than it seems. Unless if you have several partners for the business where you need to make a tight and clear contract between you and your partners. If you are an expat, I am not recommending a PT where your name will be nowhere in the company deed. A PMA will be the best way where you have direct control with the business that you set up. I would recommend Notary Anak Agung Putrajaya in Mas. He speaks English and straight forward. The number is 0361 977242 and Putu, his assistant usually picks up the office phone. I wish you the best with your venture here in Bali:)
Not sure if this is a good place.... but will give it a go. I am looking for a lawyer/notaris who can review a lease agreement for me, answer some questions, etc. ...

HELLO UC
i am.planning to buy house and a resturant in bali and to settel over there for my whole life with my family so does anyone know good lawyer or property dealer...
Kenneth M. replied:
Let me be the 1 st to wish you GOOD LUCK, so that I am remembered when you open hehe. As for properties for sale it is now more of a buyers market so why not check out thru' Face Book & best to come see for yourself both properties, including estate agents & lawyers. As they all charge for any services given, so even though it can be a mined field the more you can manage yourself the better.

I am looking for an Australian lawyer - based in Bali - with expertise and experience in the (Indonesian) Property business. Any referral is welcome

Vidhi Law Office on Jl. Bypass, Ngurah Rai 2001, Kuta
Steven S. replied:
Just my 2 cents, you do know that Australian lawyer charges by the hour but means nothing here because the law is Indonesian law, not Oz law. If anything happens, they can't represent you since they don't have the knowledge and license, my friend already went through that drama already Better get a solid local lawyer that speaks english

Glad people are trying to be helpful on this strand ;) on the other hand..... Hope Joko is able to minimize the insane corruption in such a beautiful place. Yes the offender should have played by the rules and should have some kind of punishment but massive amounts of money under small time constraints is a devilish act in return.
