CRR in besozzo. Same side of road as pharmacy but if pharmacy on yr left then CRR is just past it.You need your prescription and tessera sanitaria. You have to pay cash there I think and the amount varies depending on the test. You don't need an appointment, just get a ticket from the machine when you get there. Blood tests are only done first thing in the morning. Usually August is less busy but take a book! 7.30-9.30. Tel no. 0332 971330. Or Cittiglio hospital (where Alicia and I have just got back from!) they're open 'till 10

Dr Vezetti in Angera is a good paediatrician and his English is pretty good (although he does not let on immediately!!)

We have a very good paediatrician. But he is based in Laveno. Dott. Marco Caraffa. He's specialised in allergies and used to be the director of Cittiglio hospital paediatric ward. We've gone through 3 doctors before we had him and are very happy. Short waiting time and he usually knows other paediatric specialists if you ever need one.

Hi Maureen. There are quite a few English speaking gynecologists. By far the best one I have been to (and am sticking with!) is Dr Ghezzi. He works at the ospedale del ponte and also at Elianto clinic in viale borri. He's WONDERFUL!
