OK so got it wrong noone can privately transport owned pets but why jump on a post when only mentioning the vehicle and NOT pets? Its not nice and doesn't look good if you are wanting business - to be honest it would put me off using you.:-(

Karlene G. replied:
Thanks Anna, Story is, I saw a dog on one of the rescue pages, that someone had posted that its going to be killed by villagers, and they were desperate to find elsewhere for it to go. I felt awful, as they said it is a very loving dog. I offered to pay for its passport, or some towards travel, in the hope others would offer or prompt them to help....... Anyways, The vet has since offered to passport the dog, my problem is I cannot afford a large amount to transport back to UK as I know this costs about 180 pounds upwards. I also cannot afford 18 levs per day for its kennelling until August when I travel out to Bulgaria. Which is why I posted, but so far it is hopeless. I have emailed a few people with no response as yet. But like I say, I simply cant afford the high costs and just wanted to help.

Anna S. replied:
Sorry Karlene Roper don't know of any kennels locally that would do it for free or little cost if you really want to take it home it will need more than just a passport it will need to go through certain procedures and have to comply with traces rules to enter UK and stay in traces registered kennels before travel. There are not that many in Bulgaria and none in yambol area. Twitchy noses and Rachel Gawith may be able to help with more info. Also have you contacted the rescue centre to express your interest in the dog, again they ought to be able to help if you're offering a home.
Rachel G. replied:
Already trying to help Anna Sampson but dog is not in a rescue, it is just living near someone's house who is feeding it. I have recommended cheaper, TRACES registered kennels. And the lady who is currently feeding it is a vet and has offered to castrate it, vaccinated it, microchip it and passport it at her (the vet's) cost. I was under the impression Karlene Roper was personally adopting the dog and so it would not need to travel under TRACES as she is coming over to Bulgaria for the summer and would take it on as her pet then and so no change of ownership going back to the UK. Just needs a licensed transporter.
