Richard N Heather Witt ....Neel Veterinary Hospital in OKC actually owns Cimarron here in Chickasha. I can only assume that some number-cruncher accountant has deemed that 24 hour service there is not in their financial interest, though I think they are 100% wrong...I agree with you that they would be busy. AND deeply appreciated, I aged at least 20 years driving my barely-alive kitten 44 miles in the pouring rain at 10 pm at night. The effort and stress was SO worth it, but I shake just remembering it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually took him to Verden Vet Hospital. Was met there by Dr. McKinney, very nice, helpful and fixed my little guy up! Cheaper than driving to the city! I recommend him highly!

Debbie, dr McKinney is absolutely wonderful! Our beloved golden retriever was having seizures last year and it was Sunday night. We had never even been there. We couldn't get hold of our regular vet at cimmeron. Dr McKinney met us at verden vet and spent an hour trying to stabilize her so that we could transport her from there to Neel in the city. By the time we got to Neel, she had stopes breathing and at Neel they worked tirelessly, allowing us to be back there with them, trying to resuscitate her. Unfortunately her body had just given out. It was awful. But I can not say enough positive things about both places. We got a new puppy and she was just old enough to get spayed so we had Verden do it. The scar is beautifully tiny! We will continue to go there!!
