If we expand a little has any one ever been to the Chris n Pitts Restaurant in Whittier
Laurie L. replied:
There is place called 'Taco Time,' here and I cannot stand it...and there is Taco Bell, yuk, and Taco Del Mar which is kind of baja mexican and that is ok...and down the street from me there is a place called 'Plaza Garcia,' and the owner's wife grew u p in Alhambra and ELA so their food is actually pretty similar to what I grew up with. So I cannot say all places are a cheap imitation. But the inexpensive burritos and soft tostadas we grew up with were the best...

FacebookMaybe this will help without concern from your husband. A year ago I was introduced to something called “ Meetup.com ” This is a national organization that is made up of literally 1000,s of individual groups pertaining to everything from politics to religion, to hiking, to travel, eating, movies, music, dogs, and everything else you can think of. They are free to join and you never attended meetings. They keep you updated on activities via email or online. The groups are for singles, marrieds, and/or for those who want to stay single but meet people and have fun. The later is the priority of these groups not “picking up” people. I’ve been to the Westside to Lawry's, and many dives, and upscale places. Toured NBC then saw the Leno show. Went to Wolf mountain and spent the day in cages with wolves.I’ve joined “Asian Foodies, Korean BBQ Group, movie groups, and more. Anyway there are day trip groups perfect for what you are seeking. Want more info? email me. feiles@verizon.net

FacebookJust Google meetup (one word) and review it. Maybe you want to put in your area and how many miles you are willing to travel. Lets say 25 miles from home. Then select things you are interested in such as sewing, cooking, dining, travel, drinkin g, anything. I even joined a Deli group. Activities are posted and you either click (RSVP) yes, no, or Maybe. If you go click yes and just show up at the place and time stated for the event. Like I said there is nothing to pay so review it. Even if it’s just to go to a bakery

Hey Folks when it comes to all the food mentioned above it's just memories right? I mean BBQ today compared to Chris and Spits is a far cry. To take it further, Madeline, THE HAT? Seriously or is it just nostalgia? The Hat for Pastrami is what Taco Bell is to Mexican. In fact Alhambra forced the owners to change the original name which was "The Trots"
Richard H. replied:
They now have The Hat at Victoria Gardens Rancho Cucamonga I think I been to the one in Alhambra 2 xs never to the one over here. And there is another thing that I want to ask someone we now have a Freddys in VV it was popular somewhere I guess they do have good hamburgers and custards but I never hear of them until now.
Sushi lovers. Can anyone recommend a good all you can eat sushi restaurant? Thanks!
Derek C. replied:
Not all you can eat, but if you want excellent quality go to Tokyo Sushi on 7 th street. You won't be disappointed. The other places on this thread are merely ok for quality. Been going there for years and it's the only place the ex-pats from Japan who I work with will go.
Brian W. replied:
Tokyo Sushi on 7 th! Almost double the price of chain sushi restaurants but it's traditional and imported fresh daily, so most definitely worth it.
Michelle B. replied:
Linko Sushi is amazing!!! So fresh!
Heather J. replied:
Samurai Sushi is always great!
Marlene M. replied:
Hands down! But no "all you can eat" I find that "all you can eats" don't generally taste as good and fresh as no all you can eats. http://samurai-sushi.cafe-inspector.com

Casa Delicious on Hesperia Rd under the main street over pass is a good Resturant to get them, schwan's is excellent too, and Costco sells them by the dozen as well and are yummy.
