did the springs break? When our spring was broken, we couldn't open it either, as it was way too heavy. We called Triangle Garage Doors and Roy was out within a few hours to fix.

Try WD-40 on the rollers and all the hinges. Just had a neighbors do this.. You had to hold the button dow to close it. Sprayed the above mentioned and all is well. Make sure there is no debris on the 2 sensors or on the bottom of the door that would hang down and trip the safety beam. If non of that works Call Scott at 919 919-801-1881. He just replaced the 2 lift springs on mine. Very reasonable and friendly.
