I'M SO DONE WITH TIME WARNER FOR TV. MY GOD, THEY JUST CAN'T KEEP THE TV GOING. For one year I was on the phone from about 2-4 hours a week with Time Warner trying to...
Kim R. replied:
We need to join the FB group called "Boycott TWC" I hate that I still have to rely on them for Internet! We cut cable and are so much happier!
John Z. replied:
I work at centurylink. Email me at john.zeigler1@centurylink.com and I can get local folks here to review our offers and get you best deal.
Ami M. replied:
I just dumped TWC! Can't stand the fact that they continually raise the rates. $$$$ and now more money for those digital boxes. Direct TV is the way I went. They just installed a couple of days ago, so I can't give you a real review.
Linda W. replied:
I can help you with getting set up with Direct TV with 2 extra discounts. Call me on my cell (937) 219-6638. I can also check to see if ATT Uverse is available in your area.
All, I have internet service with CenturyLink. I have one dead spot in a back office. I am looking for recommendations for a WiFi signal amplifier that will work well...
One message board I was reading on had posts from CL customers who use Netgrear Wi-fi Range Extenders in their home to cover the dead spots.. might be worth a look: http://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/wifi-range-extenders/ I would probably ask the techs with CL if these would be compatible with their box and also read some of the customer reviews on Amazon and BestBuy as well.
Two questions! 1) is 6 megabits the highest speed available in WF? 2) are there any companies in the area that offer landline phone/internet service only?
Coleby S. replied:
Spectrum offers 100 mbps, and it's not a landline phone but their digital phone comes with a battery backup https://www.spectrum.com/packages.html
Anyone use Century LInk and do you like it, Time Warner has made me mad and i am going to cancel them, any suggestions on a cheaper cable and internet service?
Melanie S. replied:
I have Century Link. Unfortunately it's our only option. I hate it. Customer service is horrible and the speed is NEVER what it's supposed to be. Every single time we've had a problem they technicians show up 2-3 days late. They blame it on being short handed in our area.
Tiffany P. replied:
Century Link is absolutely horrible. This has been the slowest internet connection we have ever had.
Mike P. replied:
I've had Century Link for years and love it. Their initial price can be high but they will deal with you to get it cheaper
Just recently moved to Wake Forest, and was informed by AT&T that they don't offer internet service in this area. Who is a good internet service provider in this area?
Shannon T. replied:
We have Century Link too. Had them for 3-4 years and it's always been fast and reliable! No issues.
Penny C. replied:
Century Link. Just called this morning and renewed our contract (been with them for over 10 years) and I got 20M speed for $45 a month.
Martha M. replied:
Customer Service is ......... for TWC and Century Link, I'm told. But -- will also probably depend on what part of WF you're in, but we have TWC (spectrum now), and my kids have to have the speed because of how much we stream, and how many devices we have going at the same time. My kids won't touch Century Link. So, I guess it's all a matter of perspective and what your needs are.
Our TWC bill has gone sky high. We have finally switched cable to Direct TV. Cancelled home phone. TWC misquoted the fee for Turbo Internet. Now it's almost three times...
Llywellyn L. replied:
We have Earthlink Extreme thru TWC...just changed my modem and have 3 x the speed. I think we will be around $50 on the next bill.
Aubrey E. replied:
I also have ZERO issues with Twc.. we pay $95 for tv home phone and internet. We also hooked up with Josh Guerrero for a firestick..all is good!
Need some advice on internet service. We are moving to the area and would like to get internet and TV. What are some of the best options that will not break the bank?
Nicolle B. replied:
Dina Amato-Bartus in heritage you can only get TWC, century link doesn't connect in heritage
