Cheapest. Pack and load U Haul. Moving Company $$$. If you start now having grocery stores save apple boxes, they're great especially breakable. Banana boxes work well too. Have everyone you know save their newspapers Done this a few times

ABF u-pack is the way to go. It's not much more than doing a uhaul, but you don't have to drive it. They will bring the trailer to your house, you pay only for the space you use, then they put up a barrier and pick it up and deliver it to your new place. Upack.com

Rent Pods as this will allow you to pack at your own pace. The company will come pick up the pods when full and will deliver them to your doorstep in VA the day you ask for them to arrive. Very simple. www.pods.com yet there are other companies that also do this.

I had to dispute the credit card transaction because the damages they caused exceeded the costed of the move. It took 4 months for me to get my refund which didn't not cover the cost of floor, wall, and ceiling repairs. Please learn from my mistake and look elsewhere.
