After my recent experience with my daughter, I've learned vision is so much more than just sight. I whole-heartedly suggest finding a member of the COVD for a truly comprehensive exam. I take my children to Dr. Susan Durham at Brier Creek Vision Care. The whole staff there is fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about that office and how they've helped. (You are welcome to PM me with any questions)

My daughter sees Dr. Laura Enyedi at Duke Eye Center. They also have an office in Cary which is the one we go to. She is great, very patient, great at listening to your concerns and answers all questions. My daughter has dealt with vision issues as well as cataracts due to meds for a rare blood disorder and we've seen Dr. Entering for several years and have been very happy.
Brittany N. replied:
My daughter sees Dr. Enyedi at Duke. We have seen her since 6 months old. My daughter is 9 and legally blind. We have surgery with her as well. She's AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Ashley A. replied:
Awesome, thanks everybody. We will give Dr Enyedi and Dr Board a call and see if they can fit our needs. Our previous ophthalmologist skipped town so we have no records from the past 5 years and my son has a rare genetic syndrome he was supposed to help us track possible symptoms of. So we need somebody willing to take detailed records and willing to try to help us piece together the medical history the other doctor lost:/

I go to Eye Care Associates located in the Wakefield area( where Kroger use to be), but they also have an office on South Main Behind the Sonic. The Wilmington office was able to take care of me without any problems.
