Not a concern, more of a question. I'm looking to place my 3yr old into preschool this year, But the majority of preschools i've looked into will spend the year teaching...

My son was also an early reader and was already far ahead of many of his peers in preschool. Though they do learn 'the basics', they also learn far more in a preschool program that is also important. Mostly, this time is spent with social skills and following directions. My son attended Grace Christian in Scappoose, and my daughter went to Berry Bright in Saint Helens. Both have amazing programs, though I'd lean more towards suggesting Berry Bright because of their fantastic kindergarten program. My daughter attended Berry Bright for three years, beginning in the 3's class and ended up graduating out of Kindergarten.

Mary Jude Montessori. Small class size, so she can tailor to individual children's needs.

Mary Montessori, he will learn to become more independent & not only work on school material but also life skills (cleaning, self care, setting table...)

I know you said Scappoose but Creekside Jr Academy in St.Helens groups the kids based on their level of learning. Tues-Thurs classes.

I had the same concern when my oldest went to preschool. The most important thing they learn at that age is social skills. We love Grace Christian in Scappoose.

Mary Jude Montessori in Scappose - both my kids spent 2 years there & entered Kindergarten reading above the 1 st grade level. It's small & she does a fabulous job challenging the kids at their individual level.
